Become a Member

Highview Baptist Church exists to lead people to know and follow Jesus. Through the Journey of Discipleship, we quip our members to become disciple-makers and learn to do the work of the ministry.

There are 2 steps to becoming a disciple-making member of Highview:

DISCOVER HIGHVIEW

is a one-time gathering, regularly offered, designed to help you learn more about our church family, answer any questions you may have, and provide you with the information necessary to take the next steps in membership.

DINNER WITH THE PASTORS

is a fellowship meal designed for you to get to know the pastors, staff and other church members and to help integrate Believers into the life of Highview.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What about baptism?

Believer's baptism is required for membership at Highview. We believe that baptism does not save anyone, but is a believer’s symbolic identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is done by immersion as an act of obedience by those who have put their faith and trust in Christ. If you are unsure if you meet this requirement, we encourage you to speak with a pastor.

  • Can I transfer my membership from another church?

In many cases, we can transfer membership from another church by letter. After you have attended Discover Highview and completed an application for membership, one of our staff members will contact the other congregation.
