Day 4

Scripture to Read: Luke 14:15

Right after Jesus had spoken to the man who had invited Him to his home and Jesus had lovingly warned him not to be selfish and exclusive about who he invited to his home, then another spoke up. God had Luke record this in Luke 14:15, “When one of those who were reclining at the table with Him heard this, he said to Him, ‘Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!’” Possibly, this individual felt that the tension in the room needed to be broken or maybe they were moved by Jesus’ final words in Luke 14:14: “you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” Whatever the reason, this person spoke rightly, for all will be blessed who get to dine in God’s kingdom one day. This great banquet with our Lord Jesus Christ is spoken of many times in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, this banquet is known as the marriage supper of the Lamb. We read this in Revelation 19:9, “Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” Only those who have surrendered to Christ as Lord will be present at this supper. This is a great reminder that we must share the Gospel with everyone God brings across our paths. The invitation to the supper begins with us sharing Christ with every lost soul. They need to know that Christ is King and Lord and that there is no other way to the Father except by surrendering to Christ as Lord of their lives.

Challenge & Application

Why must we be continually sharing the Gospel with every lost soul we meet? How has God been using you to share your faith with the lost?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 2

Jesus always took advantage of every opportunity He was given to teach God’s Truth. God the Father wants to use us in the same way. Therefore, we should pray daily for ourselves and all other Christians (Colossians 4:3–4), asking God to open doors of opportunity for us so that we may speak about the mystery of Christ and make God and His Word...

Once the dinner date arrived, people would be told the time and they would come to the dinner. The people who had been invited were initially ex...

Day 7

Jesus lays out the cost of following Him in Luke 14:25–35. To be a disciple of Jesus means to be a follower and learner of Him. When people say they are ready to surrender to Christ as Lord, they must come without reservation and a willingness to follow Him wholeheartedly. Jesus makes it clear that we must love God with all our heart, soul, m...
